There are some very new exciting things that you will see in Nuffnang in the coming weeks.

Just as a bit of a teaser, here are some of the things you can come to expect.

New Features - We’re rolling out a number of features in the coming weeks, some that I am pretty sure all of you will like.

New Advertiser Campaigns – Starting from this Sunday just about every blog in the Nuffnang Community will be served a paid ad. We will also be rolling out our first Cost Per Click campaigns where bloggers will be paid anywhere from RM0.50-RM5 per click, depending on the advertiser. Also expect to see a number of Cost Per Action schemes on our network in time to come. As with the rest of the campaigns we run, our advertisers pay only for unique visitors originating from Malaysian IP addresses and clicks but the Cost Per Action scheme will be independent of the country’s unique visitors.

New Events – We’ve received a number of complaints from bloggers in North Malaysia that we haven’t yet had a Nuffnang event there. Along with a panel of Nuffnangers, we’re already finalizing the works of a blogger event to be held up in Penang by the end of June. To the Nuffnangers in East Malaysia, don’t pack your bags… we’ll be there before you know it.

Oh and we’ve also just sent out our second batch of cheques to bloggers who have opted to cash out…

Even as being among the top bloggers in Malaysia, Kenny has always shared our vision at Nuffnang that the opportunity to earn from blogs should be open to as many bloggers as possible.

In support of this same vision that we share, Kenny has thrown his full support behind the Nuffnang Community so much that we couldn’t help but make him our Featured Blogger for June.

The aftermath of our Nuffnang Pirates of the Caribbean 3 Screening has been overwhelming with Nuffnangers from all over writing about the event and saying their thanks to Nuffnang.

On behalf of everyone at Nuffnang, let me personally thank each and every one of you for your kind thank you messages and most importantly… for all of you coming and making this event a true success.

I’m sorry for the caps but I am just THAT excited!

That’s right!

We’re only a day away from the Nuffnang Pirates of the Caribbean 3 Screening and the excitement on our side has been… UNBELIEVABLE.

Now here are a few pointers that you might need to prepare yourself for the screening.

1) It is FREE seating, so come as early as you can and take the opportunity to meet and network with other bloggers there before the movie starts. On our side, we are trying to limit the number of seats we give away instead of maxing out every seat in the cinema, so the front row can be empty and nobody will have to sit too close to the front. As a result of this, there is a growing waiting list of Nuffnangers who are still hoping to get a ticket but believe us when we say that we are doing our best to accommodate everyone.

2) Remember to leave enough time to not just collect your tickets upon registration but also for you to claim the Regular Popcorn and Drink Set sponsored by Exabytes.

3) You can take pictures and camwhore as much as you want outside the cinema but please DO NOT take ANY pictures of even bring out your camera once inside the Cinema Hall. The nice people at Cathay have been nothing but helpful in the planning of this event, so lets try to make things easy for them ok?

Nuffnang Singapore launched about 3 weeks ago and as usual we promised our fellow Singaporean bloggers there that it might take 1-2 months for us to start serving paid ads.

Once again, we deliver far more than we promise.

Just after 3 weeks of its launching, Nuffnang Singapore has started its very first blog ad campaign with its first advertiser: NIKE.

You can check out the Nike ads on a number of Singaporean blogs but to name a couple, check out Cowboy Caleb, Sassy Jan and Sheylara’s blogs.

My fellow Malaysians, in the past few weeks, we too have been fortunate enough to have a number of bluechip advertisers (MPH, Kurnia and Pensonic to name a few) to run campaigns on many of our 2,000 blogs. In a matter of time, more and more Nuffnangers will be consistently served paid ads.

At the beginning of this blog entry, I confidently said that we at Nuffnang always deliver far more than we promise. Believe me now when I say that the best is yet to come.

Many of our Nuffnangers have already reached the RM100 threshold and we’ve already been sending out cheques to them. Now it’s nice to have virtual money credited into your blogger accounts and all but all that is worthless until you’re sure you can really cash it out.

Well with Nuffnang, you obviously can.

We’ve already started sending out cheques to our bloggers since last week and we’ve already heard a few of them start blogging about receiving their cheques.

How does Nuffnang send out its cheques?

I personally don’t write a cheque myself and sign it with my signature only to have it sent to a blogger. How unprofessional that would be.

What happens is Nuffnang Sdn Bhd has a tie-in with HSBC Malaysia such that every time a blogger clicks
“Pay Me” in the earnings tab, it will go straight into our online system and HSBC will automatically have a cheque sent out to the recipient at the end of the month. The cheques you receive will be computer generated, just like the ones you get from Google’s Adsense.

It’s finally time that we announced the winner of the PSP.

The very very lucky and happy winner is Nicole from http://nicolekiss.blogspot.com.

Nicole is relatively new to blogging but also happens to be in the running for the title of Miss Malaysia World!

When my colleague first told me that the winner of the Pink PSP was a girl named Nicole from http://nicolekiss.blogspot.com, I shamefully had to admit that I have never heard of her blog before. But after a little bit of asking around, I learned that she was new to blogging and in some beauty pageant (though I wasn’t sure which one at the time).

Then the day came for me to actually pass the very Pink PSP to her and I could instantly see why she now is in the finals for the Miss Malaysia World title. She was bubbly, witty and down-to-earth.

At the very beginning of Nuffnang, we have always said that our blogger earnings will grow as the size of the community grows. The larger the community, the bigger our numbers and the more possible it is for us to pitch for high value deals from Bluechip Advertisers.

Today, the Nuffnang community has reached a certain threshold. This week alone, you will see campaigns not only from the SMEs that have supported us ever so dearly but also from bluechip advertisers like MPH, Kurnia and Pensonic. These ad campaigns cover the many hundreds of blogs in our community, and is set to grow even more.

For that reason, the economies of scale we have gained from your generous support have allowed us to revise our blogger bands which result in increased earnings for bloggers in our community. Some bloggers will on average see a 50% or more increase in their earnings beginning this week.

Revising our blogger bands to increase earnings is something we at Nuffnang are committed to consistently do in the coming future.
