HELLO!
If you’re wondering what your friendly local Nuffnang staff were doing last weekend, we were at the 1st National Youth Entrepeneur Convention 2008 (yes I typed it off the banner below), where our co-founder Mr. Timothy Tiah was all set to give a speech.
And if you’ve always wondered what Timothy Tiah looks like on stage-
Very intense fellow.
We also had another interview and speech-giving session, that a blogger I’m sure all of you will recognize flew over all the way from Kuching for.
Later in the day was the event we’d all been waiting for, the Traffic Jam Bloggers’ Party, where
- Celebrity bloggers (L-R) Kenny Sia, Ringo, Pinkpau, and Nicolekiss were interviewed.
Bloggers to the core. Never let an opportunity to pose for a picture pass by.
- Yummy food was served
- Prizes were given out

Joshualty won a Sony PSP for Most Creative iTalk Buddy Post.
Doinkz was the Most Promising Blogsite @ Traffic Jam and received a plaque.
Curryegg won a Sony PS2 as a runner up for Most Creative iTalk Buddy Post.
Celine Yap was Most Popular Blogsite @ Traffic Jam and had a plaque commemorating it.
Last but not least:
Nuffie Puffs (L-R) Michelle, Skyler, Su Ann and Samantha Wong rule the world.

Tune Money’s Spend, Blog & Fly Deadline Extended
Dear Nuffnangers,
Due to many requests from bloggers, the nice guys at Tune have decided to extend the deadline for the Spend, Blog & Fly contest to 29th of February 2008. Bloggers participating in the contest can stand a chance to win a trip for 2 to Gold Coast.
Note that part of the consolation prizes is tickets to the Premier of Cuci which will be over by the time the contest ends. Hence, we’ll be offering the tickets to the bloggers that have already submitted their entries today. Michelle from Nuffnang will be giving you all a call on this later today.

Launching of Nuffnang’s Exclusivity Program: The Nuffnang Glitterati
Dear Nuffnangers,
Today Nuffnang has successfully established itself as the blog advertising market leader in both Malaysia and Singapore. As such we have also faced increasing pressure from many of our loyal exclusive Nuffnangers to enact an exclusive program, rewarding them for their loyalty.
We have always kept it as no secret that we often give priority to our exclusive Nuffnangers in everything from community events to even the serving of ads.
However with the establishment of the Nuffnang Glitterati, we have now crystallized these benefits as part of our community policy.
Glitterati will come into effect starting 13th January 2008.

Nuffnang community Event - Traffic Jam at Youth 08
Dear Nuffnangers,
We at Nuffnang always stress that the idea of our community is not purely about making money from ads.
No, we are among many other things, about bringing bloggers in the community together through our community events and also bringing exposure to the many blogs in our community… allowing each blogger the opportunity and the avenue to build a sizable readership.
We plan to achieve both of these objectives with an upcoming Community Event that Nuffnang is co-planning with Youth Malaysia as part of the Youth ’08 Convention: Traffic Jam!
Here are some details.
TRAFFIC JAM
A Nuffnang community event in collaboration with YouthMalaysia.com, sponsored by iTalk Buddy & Tune Money
Objective of the Event:
To introduce Malaysian youth blogsites to the public youths, to increase traffic and readership which results in potentially higher Nuffnang earnings- in line with the direction of blogs as a new age media – an avenue to source for information, updates, etc.
Activity Brief
To participate in Traffic Jam, bloggers will have to sign up by submitting their details at the link below.
The Top 100 Most Interesting Blogs will be selected to be featured in Traffic Jam where each blogger will be designated a computer at the high traffic Youth ’08 Event to promote their blogs to the masses attending the event.
In addition, these bloggers will each receive a RM30 iTalk Card to try iTalk Buddy.
The bloggers will have to write one or more posts regarding:
1. YOUTH’08: Traffic Jam Blogger Party
2. The usage of the RM30 iTalk Card through iTalk Buddy (example: Calling friends from overseas, buying Moji, etc.)
All 100 bloggers will be featured in the YOUTH’08: Traffic Jam Zone during the entire event period from the 18th till 20th January 2008.
Each blog will be represented by one PC whereby bloggers will be given the privilege to dress their individual PCs up. (to attract more votes)
The Most Popular Blogsite voted by the public will receive an award.
In addition, the Most Promising Blogsite selected by Nuffnang will also receive an award.
Additional prizes includes iTalk Buddy Creative Writeup Contest amongst the 100 bloggers and Tune Money Spend and Fly amongst the public bloggers.
