A lot of bloggers have expressed interest in attending the Nuffnang Pajama Party. After all, the opportunity to meet celebrity bloggers such as Kenny Sia and Xia Xue is hard to pass. To add to that, free food and drinks for the entire evening just adds more icing to the cake.
However, the supposed deadline for writing a post to get an entry to the Pajama Party is today and the response we get from many of our Nuffnangers today is
“PLEASE GIMME MORE TIME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!”
Due to the huge pouring requests from bloggers all over Malaysia to extend the deadline, we have decided to extend the deadline.
The new revised deadline for you to take a picture of yourself with a packet of Chipster and post it on your blog to win an invite to our Pajama Party is 8th of March 2008.
Please note however that the contest for entries eligible to win the MacBook for “The Most Actual Chipster Packs in a Photo” ends as scheduled on the the 29th of February 2008 at 11.59PM. All entries that come after this date are still eligible for a ticket to the Nuffnang Pajama Party and for the “Best Pajamas” and “Quirkiest Post” but are NOT eligible for the MacBook.

On this day one year ago, Nuffnang started off with a four man team in a humble office in Penang. It’s hard to believe it but one year on, Nuffnang today has grown many folds in terms of bloggers, advertisers, and headcount. In just a year we have spread our wings from our office in Penang to offices in KL and Singapore with more to come.
We have many many very exciting plans in the pipeline for this year but all of us at Nuffnang would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Nuffnangers that have supported us so far.
To each and every one of you, thank you so much for your kind support. Your support is what has kept us going and we are proud to work with all of you.

When our co-founders Ming and Timothy heard about a charity organization’s movement to contribute towards the purchase of water pumps to provide fresh water to African villages, they wanted to know more.
It turned out that One Foundation was selling bottles of water at various denominations, RM 50, RM 100, even RM 1,000 to raise money. Two million people a year die from drinking contaminated water and little by little, and we wanted to help end that.
We at Nuffnang were deeply moved by this movement and just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to help provide water to the impoverished people of Africa. On behalf of the Nuffnang Community, Nuffnang Sdn Bhd had recently donated RM1,000 to the Foundation.

This is a friendly reminder that the deadline to apply for tickets for our upcoming Nuffnang Pajama Party is 4 days from now on the 29th of February 2008.
If you are looking to attend the event with the hope of meeting Kenny Sia, Jeff Ooi, Dawn Yang, Xiaxue and many other bloggers, please e-mail us for the tickets before the deadline.
All you have to do is take a picture of yourself in whatever you will be wearing that night and a pack of Chipster and send it to pajamaparty@nuffnang.com.my by the deadline.
Your entries will also stand a chance to win a MacBook, iPod Touch and a Nintendo Wii.
Note that while the theme of the party is a Pajama party and many bloggers there will be going in their PJs, it is NOT compulsory for you to wear pyjamas for the party if you’re a little shy.

Dear Nuffnangers,
It’s 9.15AM in the morning here and half the Nuffnang Team are still in bed after a long night of putting one of our servers back up again. For those of you who missed it, yesterday at around 12.30PM, the hard disk for one of our servers crashed eventually bringing down the Nuffnang Malaysia website from functioning.
Our team scrambled to find a new Hard Drive, install a new OS and restore all our backups. Today the site is running as normal once again but we’re still running some tests to make sure of that. If you spot anything unusual on our site please feel free to drop us an e-mail via our Help Desk.
I do however owe thanks to many Nuffnangers out there.
The truth is, Nuffnang has its own set of emergency procedures ready in the case in which unforeseen circumstances like this may occur.
They comprise of two teams:
1) A technical response team to get the problem fixed
2) A communication response team to get the word out to our bloggers and keep the a channel of communication open.
The latter team was prepared to face a number of complaints from bloggers only to later on find out that the only e-mails we received were from understanding bloggers, many offering their help and/or suggestions in which we could use alleviate the situations. It was heartening for us that at a time of crisis, our team did not stand alone. Many of our Nuffnangers stood beside us with understanding hearts.
On behalf of everyone at Nuffnang, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for being so understanding and supportive of us.

CHANGE OF DATE
Yesterday, Malaysian Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi announced Malaysian elections on the 8th of March 2008!
As you know, that was the proposed date of our First birthday Bash!
To minimize the disruption to our Malaysian Nuffnangers who vote, and with consideration to other factors, the Nuffnang team, having consulted with our valued partners, have decided to postpone this event to the 15th of March, 2008, SATURDAY.
The deadline for Blog entry submissions has also been extended to the 29th of February 2008.
All OTHER details remain the same.
CLARIFICATIONS FOR BLOG ENTRY
As you know, to be eligible for a ticket to the party/trip, Nuffnangers have to write a blog Entry with the title “I sleep better with Chipster”.
We have received some quality entries so far, but have noticed that some people are submitting entries incorrectly.
What you need to do, is to go out there, buy a pack of chipster, and take a photo of yourself with it, in your Pajamas (Preferably…Or anything you sleep in). This is in line with our theme for the party.
