MERYL STREEP (The Devil Wears Prada) and PIERCE BROSNAN (James Bond : Die Another Day) lead a spectacular all-star cast in Mamma Mia! The Movie, the musical celebration of mothers and daughters and fathers, true loves lost and new ones found, and the romantic possibilities of what can happen on one magical Greek island when love is in the air and music and dancing abound.
A quick snippet of the storyline for the movie as followed;It is 1999 on the enchanting Greek island of Kalokairi. Our romantic adventure begins at the remote Mediterranean hotel Villa Donna, run by Donna (Meryl Streep), daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) and Sophie’s fiancé Sky (Dominic Cooper).
Just in time for her upcoming marriage, Sophie nervously posts three wedding invitations (“I Have a Dream”) to three different men, any of whom she believes may be her father. From three cities across the globe, three men set off to return to the island—and the woman—that had enchanted each of them 20 years earlier.
Back on that island, Donna is rousing her staff for the frenetic day ahead as Sophie’s bridesmaids arrive and she shares with her best mates a scandalous secret: Sophie has found her mother’s diary and learned she has three possible dads—businessman Sam Carmichael (Pierce Brosnan), adventurer Bill Anderson (Stellan Skarsgård) and banker Harry Bright (Colin Firth). Without telling her mum, she has invited all three to her wedding (“Honey, Honey”), believing that after she spends time with them, she will at last know who her real father is.Mamma Mia! The Movie will be released in Malaysia on the 25th of September 2008.

All you have to do to get a pair of tickets to watch this splendid musical sensation is write a blog post with the title ‘Mamma Mia! The Movie’ and talk about what you look forward in this movie. You can talk about ABBA, Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan or anything related! After you’ve published it in your blog, write an email to mamma_mia@nuffnang.com with the specific permalink of your blog post and other details such as your full name, contact number and where would you want to catch the Premiere Screening (KL or Penang).
The first 215 Glitterati members who write in will receive a pair of tickets to watch the Premiere of Mamma Mia! The Movie. A confirmation email will be sent by the 17th of September 2008 to the bloggers who secured themselves a pair of tickets each. Should any bloggers can’t attend the Premiere Screening, kindly reply to the sent email and revert to us so that your tickets will be given to the next in line.

Mamma Mia! The Movie - how come movie websites (cinemaonline, GSC) states that movie will open here on September 18? Even says so on IMDB.com website. What gives? Even more delays??

I watched it already in australia. It’s not bad but I find the singing part a but draggy *cuz they sing the whole song*. But I do enjoy the movie. And it is quite funny as well. So besides the too-long-singing part, the rest is AWESOME. The ending is a bit different though *unexpected ending* and the movie is a bit like hindustan movie. So if you dont like too-much-singing movie, you might not enjoy it as much =)
