SYPNOSIS
In the glamorous world of New York City, Rebecca Bloomwood (ISLA FISHER) is a fun-loving girl who is really good at shopping—a little too good, perhaps. I’m a Shopaholic because…. I don’t shop for specific things, I shop for whatever I feel like buying! Anywhere, anytime! It just doesn’t feel right if I go out and come back with an empty hand so I will buy something even if it’s just a bottle of coke, a top or a packet of chewing gum. And I alwayssss experience post-purchase dissonance, in other words regretting my purchase because after that I’ll realize that I don’t really need them or even wear/use them.
It is a bad habit that I am trying to changeeeeeee!

I’m a shopaholic because I starve myself to save money and when i step into the shopping mall, i can shop around for hours and hours and hours without stopping. I’m such a shopaholic I even do online shopping. If I have all the money in the world, 72 hours a day, the shopping malls open at 6 in the morning, I’d go to every shopping mall in the world and shop shop shop and never drop, because there’s just so many things out there waiting to be bought! Unfortunately, I don’t have the money nor that many hours in a day, I have to save up on food money and I have only enough time to go to 2 only shopping malls a day and control my impulsive buying. I’m such a shopaholic I dreamtalk about Burberry, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Marc Jacobs… the list goes on….

I shop almost everyday. I have 10 black skirts, 17 black long sleeves tops, 19 white plain long sleeves shirts, 72 pairs of shoes (as at 03/03/09) which 7 pairs of them are black high heels,4 1/2 closets full of my clothes (my hubby’s clothes only occupy 1/2 a closet) and 1/4 of my clothes which i have never even wear.I NEVER leave a shopping mall empty handed. Ever. I own boxes of make-ups which I didnt use coz i just love the fancy packages. I stash my shopping bags at the back of the closet or under my bed in my attempt to hide my purchases from my hubby’s knowing. (I hope my hubby is not reading this! hehehe.. )

Because I want to look good, when I’m up, down, in a car, in a train, in a cab, in a bus, in a bed, on a couch or even in a coffin six feet under. It’s style, it’s fashion, it’s the glitz and it’s the glam. It is to stand out in a crowd, it is to be me, and not the others checking me out. Shopping is exhilarating and it is fun. I love shopping, and that makes me a shopaholic.

I’m a shopaholic because everytime I pass a store and see an item that’s on a manican who calls my name and encourages me to wear what it’s wearing, I won’t just end up purchasing the item I see, I end up going home with a bag of clothes. When I enter the store, the feeling of touching a cloth isn’t just like every other feeling, it’s a feeling where I’d like to own that piece of cloth and present it on me, and own many more and as much as I can.

I’m a Shopaholic because I can walk from the old wing back to the new wing back to the old wing and back again to the new wing just because I ran out of hands to carry all the stuff I bought. I absolutely love shopping online and will buy anything and everything I can find online only to find out later that it doesn’t suit/fit me but will still leave it lying in my closet and say one day it’ll fit me… My friends have to literally drag me away from shiny pink stuff and all the passerbys will look at me as if I was a raving lunatic. They also have to keep tabs on me on Lowyat forum just so I’d stop buying stuff online. Everytime I go out I’d find an excuse to buy new stuff because I always feel like I have nothing to wear although my closet is so full right now that most of my clothes are lying on my bedroom floor because I no longer have any space in my cupboard for them and still I refuse to give some away even though some no longer fits me…(that is until my friends comes over n raid my room and throw away all my stuff)… which ends up with me crying because I am unable to stop them… My car is a mini shoe shop and everyone who gets into my car is always greeted with a “Don’t you DARE step on my shoes” instead of a hello…

I’m a shopaholic because am born as a shopaholic, my eyes glow whenever i see the word “SALE”, even though sometimes i knew there will be hell lots of people, i’ll still trouble myself to go to shopping mall and fight til my last breath just for the parking, even before i go into the shopping mall. my mum knows that I’m a shopaholic, my dad knows it too, my uncles, aunties, cousins, grandfather, grandmother, great grandfather, girlfriend/s, boyfriend/s, gay friend/s, fling/s, even my neighbours know it too well.
I cant resist to shop, i can even just dump my girlfriend at some rojak stall, buy her a plate of rojak to eat there by herself and go to shop alone so that she wont disturb me when im shopping.

I’m not really a shopaholic but I’m superbly obsessive when it comes to lingeries, nighties and undergarments! (hehe?) No I’m not weird nor am I crazy, I doubt they’ll know how to search for nuffnang. (tsk!) Getting back, yes i love feeling good in the inside than looking good on the outside. Seeing my organized inner drawer makes me happy! They’re color coordinated && oo oo! I like buying them and wearing them although.. I don’t know who else really appreciates it other than me myself. I buy most when it’s on sales! You can actually find the so called ‘new arrival’ items hanging on the shelf of 3 for 150! Never fails to make me laugh! (LOL) Oh and only during sales, I travel back and fro from PG to KL as different outlets have different discount rates and stocks :S I’m talking too much, aren’t I? Well… I’m not that possessive as this supposedly-short-comment sounds like. Better stop now. I’m still a shopaholic in a way… am I?
