Urbanscapes rocks because..ahh..this is sounds cliche.i’ll tell you why Urbanscapes is the rockest event in town for the past seven years in my own way.first thing first,where else can you find a shopping bazaar that have more than 70 stalls selling good and fabulous stuffs with affordable price?for the godsake,as a girl this is like a heaven for me.not to mention,at the same time you can enjoy some performances from talented singers and with 4 different stages.even you will get confused which stage you want to headed first.most of the artists are really talented and one-of-a-kind such as Yuna,Twilight Actiongirl and more.to spice up,this year they also include street theater and performances.hey,that’s cool.i never went an art event that have street theater performances.it is a must to see.i don’t know what should i do if i miss this event.i may end up regretting myself for the whole year.it’s 5-in-1 event that you will never find it elsewhere and this is why Urbanscapes rocks!

I should be on my way to Urbanscapes 2009 with a friend because you got to admit, no one covers KL local life as through enough as KLUE and the fact that Urbanscapes this year celebrates the pride and joy of all local shopping vendors for the marketplace that makes me shriek and go wild as I spend my money’s worth.Not forgetting the awesome music performances that i always look forward to like Twilight Action girl that allows me to dance my heart’s content along with the hilarious comeback kings in their theater performances that will make me laugh until my tummy hurts.
Music, movies, theatre, shopping = it’s like being in one wonderland in one spot.

Urbanscapes rock for it is one of the only few events in malaysia that showcases the awesomeness of independent malaysian artiste. Not only can we enjoy the screenplay , the music and the on the spot stage play that happens at KLPAC… we can meet up with new friends look at the art and design work by budding new artist in malaysia.
For me urbanscapes in a must not miss event and for those who never attended this event, I Serge who has been an avid urbanscaper recommends that you go for it. Look, im promoting it for the past 2 weeks about it and did you know that Serge was featured at Urbanscapes 2008?

WOW!! Urbanscapes rocks! Creative arts festival Rocks!
I never ehard of it before, but from the promo and description, it seems to be a highly-anticipated events of the year and it’s so youth-oriented, it surely creates so much fun for youngsters, especially for me at least! I can’t wait to step-a-step on the event!
From what i’ve read, Urbanscapes aims to bring together communities and participants from the fields of music, arts, fashion or lifestyle, and film under a single banner to showcase the best of the local scene. Isn’t that what I want? I do believe everybody wish to have that! A centralized place where we build all the communities into one. All for one, one for all!!

KL Urbanscape is by far the best cultural project in Malaysia! It truly rocks the world of arts, transcending all aspects including music, theater, bazaar, film and street performances. It proved that art is affordable by all, and does not discriminate people from various background. It let us Malaysians unite under the name of urban art, creating an urban legend so great and praises being sung by those who have been there for all these years. And this is where we revive local art in a grandios manner. No artist should be left out of this greatest event in history!
I’ll remember last year’s event the where great art were created from basically anything, the most remarkable of all was from the Tapau nation, having polystyrene boxes as the base of art. It just shows how creative Malaysians can be, given the chance to prove themselves. So, why not let us all enjoy the cultural event again, and together we tread the path of artistic glory in this moment in time?

I’ve attended Urbanscapes 2008 last year and it blew me away. Rarely do I see such event in my life. Hailing from the Pearl of Orient(Penang) and currently residing in PJ, Penang never or rarely have such an event.
I would love to attend Urbanscapes 2009! Even if no free tickets, I’ll take the cash out from wallet and pay for it.

Why do i think Urbanscapes rocks huh? Let me tell you why!
Urbanscape’s music line up consist of heart thumping local act that will sure to blow our minds away. Imagine soothing to the ska genra made famous by our very own Gerhana Ska Cinta (GSC) with their all time favourite hit single, Senyuman Ragamu, rocking to the drum and smashing guitars of Pop Shuvit’s Mara Bahaya,Freakshow or PUMP UP THAT STEREO, relaxing to the sweet voice of Yuna with her ever famous Deeper Conversation or perhaps discover new local talent such as Twilight Action Girl and Pure Vibracion! Isnt it better to watch all these local bands to perform rather than to watch Akon perform on July 2nd? Its cheaper, better and of course you get to watch more than 5 bands performing as oppose to the one man Akon! I believe Urbanscapes is the perfect platform to actually expose these home grown band to the “local band illiterate” out there. Besides, i notice under the collaboration part, i don’t know all of those mentioned names except Damn Dirty Apes! This is my chance to actually know more of these local bands or artist!
Ive been to many notable exhibition around the Klang Valley and the latest one I’ve been is on 365 Days of Malaysia exhibition at Wei Ling Gallery! After visiting all of these artistic works of extraordinary creative soul of arts, I’m definitely hungry for more! The artworks are truly mind blowing! The art exhibition will be da’ bomb and it will sure rock Urbanscapes to the max!
And since there is a photography exhibition on the places in KL, i am definitely not going to miss this out so that I can see how those Pro’s actually define Verb in their piece of artwork! I am really eager to improve my skills! Moreover, i can also meet this sifu’s in person which sums up on WHY URBANSCAPES WILL ROCK MY SOCKS! wOOt.
I have mention before sometime ago that i am a avid local act supporter. I support anything that is local and HAS QUALITY! If this time there is going to be a nice superb local short film screening, i really don’t want to miss em’ out! As of street performance and theater, all I can say is that those mentioned names above are of my favorites, KL Stompers and The Come Back Kings in particular. I am also in love with theatrics performance especially those in Actor Studio Bangsar. But sadly it has close down to give way for renovation. Its will be such a wonderful experience to actually watch all of my favorite acts at one place at the same time at Urbanscapes which is why this is so going to make me more eager to attend this event. KL Stomper is definetly a ‘ die die also must watch ‘ thingy because their performance has been gaining attention particularrly on their ever talented skills of creating music beats out of nothing!
I think Urbanscapes will rock my soul out because its an ALL-IN-ONE stop for people like me to actually witness all these creative people doing their thing! It would also be a great platform to expose them to the society and like i said the ‘local act illiterate’ out there! As i can see that there are many local acts out there that sounds alien to me, i definitely want to know them and the music they made!
I really want to be there, as this is my first time attending this event. I have heard a lot about it but i never had a chance to attend it.
And since I also blog, I WILL DEFINITELY GIVE ALL OF THESE LOCAL BOYS EXPOSURE TO THE PUBLIC ESPECIALLY ON LOCAL BANDS AND STREET/THEATRICS PERFORMANCE as those are my most favorable part of this event!

Why Urbanscapes rocks?
This is THE EVENT where talented people will get to showcase, obviously, their talent and this is THE PLACE where art lovers like us will get to enjoy ourselves to the max!
And it’s definitely THE COOLEST thing that nobody would want to miss it (not me!), and being a Malaysian Band supporter, I think I should be able to rock the house down with ‘em!

I’m an art-addict with passion beyond what words could define for arts and I can expect,base on the upcoming programs organized for Urbanscapes,this is going to be the best, most exciting event that will rock the art industry in Kuala Lumpur~
I’m not a big fan of Malaysian music (but probably that would change after the night), but I trust the exhibition, film and street performances categories are going to be THE BOOM!
I have never been to any events with such combinations especially with all Malaysian products, this is going to slam in the faces of those who doubts Malaysian’s art industry and prove that our art, as just as artistic…

I’m looking forward the Urbanscapes 2009 because it offers so many areas in art that i love, like Music, Films, theatre and exhibition altogether in one event! I really hope i get to join in all areas and hope i can support our very own local talents! :)

i would like to go to Urbanscapes because i never been to one before.and since urbanscapes is the talk of the town lately,i guess it’s a best way for me and a friend enjoying the perfomance of local acts,looking at creatively shots photographs and exhibition,watching performance of local theathres and films,and not to forget,grab one or two stuffs at the marketplaces.Plus,it’s all here in KL!!

Once again , Urbanscapes is the ONLY event that happens every year that gets all the youth in Malaysia to showcase their talents in the arts scene. I tell you, it is vital for the youth to continue to pursue their dreams in arts.
So for those who have never been to this event , please make an effort to go check it out and see the quality and passion that our youth can acheive.

Urbanscapes rocks because it is a misture of music, arts, film, and fashion all under the same roof. and its not just any stranger. its our own local enthusiasts. it is good to see someone actually appreciate them. and this is how they will show thier true talents of thier interest. and we will see how much that Malaysian people can actually be the same level as the international. furthermore, this can be an eye openener to the youth out there to not waste thier talents. with a programme like this,the youth can be inspired to start thier own hobbies into not just a hobbies.
this is where we can see the true talents of malaysian youths and we do have talented youth out there waiting to be discovered. and with Urbanscapes, they will do everything they can to attract more people and to show off thier talents.
im a man of photography and arts. with this Urbanscape programme, i can be inspired and this will be as a frontier to my training to be a professional photographer. i might be able to get some tips and tricks and hints in photography.

Urbanscapes 2009. wow, what can i say. frankly speaking, i’ve missed the one last year, and i was truly disappointed with myself for skipping an awesome event like this. as fr this year,the lineups of everything made me go ga-ga when i see it, and this is where art of all forms gather in one place for al those art lovers out there (me!me!me!). local bands and artists, art and photography exhibition = love, and the BEST PART OF IT ALL. the shopping vendors! can’t blame me for being a girl. bazaars are something not to be missed, what more THIS. i wouldn’t know how else to describe, but i’m just really really looking forward to what’s awaiting in store. It definitely rocks everyone’s socks, especilly when it’s 24hours non stop! of music, film, just evrything related to the three letter,art. this is the chance for our local industry to inspire others with their ability and talent, as w’ve been compared too often with them from internationals and worldwide. It brings everyone together as one, all the people doing what they love and dreamed of, and that is already to me, the number one reason why Urbanscapes rocks. Unity. :)
Ps: There is absolutely no where better we could be if event like this is taking place. and i’ve missed last year’s =(, i can’t and don’t want to miss it anymore.! thanks =)

i think this urbanscapes rocks because it suits people like me,
i’m a dancer who’s currently doing photography and enjoys short film, loves listening to any kind of music as well as writing simple lyrics and also design my own T-shirt as a hobby, and i like shopping too.
well i believe urbanscapes has everything that i want in one awesome place, KLPAC!!!!
and this event could also gather and educate the local people what art is all about in Malaysia, it’s a great opportunity to let people see how the art industry is doing in Malaysia, as well as expose to the people more about arts that’s available for us in here.

I want Urbanscapes!!
And I am bugging people from ma college to attend the coolest art festival! Yes, if I succeed, there will be a bus of a total of 40+ people coming from Ipoh just for Urbanscapes!
I can’t wait to be in Urbanscapes and now tell you why Urbanscapes rocks? Because all creative minds who are going to participate or attend gonna make it rocks like its the best ever! Now don’t you need more people like us? ^^

Most importantly it gives chances to new blood in different industry and culture to share and learn in many ways~!!

urbanscapes is such an awesome event to have in KL, MALAYSIA! no excuses and no more complaints about “the grass is greener on the other side”. We have great artists and creative talent on our very own shores! Props to those that came up with this idea to have a creative arts festival here.
I now have something to look forward to every summer in my hometown :)

Either it is music, film, photography, theatre or street performance :)
Not forgetting their Marketplaces as I would like to hunt some arty stuff from there~
