The Objective

The Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards was created to award the best of bloggers across Asia-Pacific. The NAPBAS 2011 was the second instalment of the anticipated blog awards and was hosted in Malaysia for the first time.

The Big Idea

To celebrate and recognize the most popular and outstanding bloggers in the Asia-Pacific blogging region. Over 10,000 nominations were collected prior to the event and votes were tabulated to identify the top 6 shortlisted nominees for each blog award category. Apart from the voting mechanics, NAPBAS had a panelist of judges who were some of Nuffnang's key clients and renowned writers in the industry. Winners were selected based on a 50% score from votes and the other 50% from judges’ score.

The Result

After months of voting and campaigning leading to the shortlisting of the finalists; the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards, arguably the biggest blogging event of the year, came to a stunning conclusion. Over 500 bloggers from 7 countries gathered at Putrajaya Marriott in Kuala Lumpur. The crème de la crème of the blogosphere were celebrated in this glorious occasion, alongside main and title partners - Celcom, XPAX, Volkswagen, Putrajaya Marriott and Olympus.
