Exabytes is one of the earliest advertisers to support the bloggers at Nuffnang.
Upon hearing about Nuffnang, the Founder and CEO who had built the company to what it is today was more than eager to try out this new medium of advertising.
Exabytes CEO, Chan Kee Siak.
After all, Exabytes is a tech company that has always been at the forefront of new developments, unafraid to experiment with new products, which is the very reason why they have still been able to keep ahead of the competition in their highly competitive industry.
Their willingness to experiment did not just stop at trying this new medium of blog advertising.
In the second week of their campaign, Exabytes decided to get a little more creative with their ads that were being run on hundreds of Nuffnang blogs.
They put their creative bones together and designed ad units that were not just meant to display or brand, but to engage the viewers.
Their Leaderboard ad that was placed on top of many blogs had an arrow pointing down at the Blog Content asking the readers if they would like to create a blog of their own (just like the one they were reading).
This ad unit marketed not just the prospect of hosting a blog with Exabytes’s reliable web hosting services but also on their new blog host www.iloveblog.com
Then there was the Skyscraper Ads they had that tied in their advertisements with a promotion and a chance of winning a Sony PSP if readers were to spend RM199 with them.
The team at Exabytes were also quick to take advantage of the ability to integrate text with their graphic banner on Nuffnang skyscraper ads.
Finally, there was the very innovative Large Rectangle ad that depicted a conversation between two comic characters.
The overall impact of these innovative ads was not only that it encouraged readers to click and find out more but also that it reflected what kind of company Exabytes was.
It is a company that is not afraid to innovate to survive. A forward-thinking company that Malaysians can be proud of.
As for bloggers. Exabytes’s generous two-week campaign had not only given us a chance to learn the effective of ads on our blogs but also filled up many of our pockets with some bloggers like Hongkiat.com earning over RM140 in just one week alone.
