Nuffnang Featured Blogger for the month of July

Well, herrrooooo!!!!!!!!!!11111111

I am Suanie from Suanie.net, and if you have not heard of me, well… WHERE THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!

(… actually having a life, I presume… )

So I am Nuffnang’s featured blogger for the month of July. I do feel sorry for you lot for having to see my face on the main Nuffnang page throughout this month, and I do apologise for not being a 5′10” beauty endowed with assets of 36 24 36 and a face like Angelina Jolie’s. Neither are you, so let’s get on with it ;)

I have been on the Net since 1997. I had my first website in 1999. In 2003 the website became a blog, and I bought Suanie.com. In 2005 I had to switch to Suanie.net for some noob reasons. In 2007 I joined the Nuffnang community.

Suanie.net belongs to the ‘Personal/ Lifestyle’ category, and on it I write about stuff happening in my daily life (as much as I could without getting into the way of earning my keep in the real world). Occasionally I do silly stunts that people seem to find entertaining, such as What To Wear to the PPS Bash,The Fat Diaries, 5 Reasons to Date Suanie, looking for car trunks to fit a Suan…

The list goes on.

There are some perks that comes with blogging. For example, I have been fortunate to be invited to some local movie previews and plays ( support the locals, yeah? ), get to meet some semi-famous people, received some cool products to be reviewed on my blog… Besides that I also enlarged my circle of friends, who are fellow bloggers. All these positive opportunities came with blogging, and I am most grateful for them.

Erm, I do meet females as well, but the photos never turn out as good as the ones of me with male stars. Actually all it means that I look really fat in the photos, so… :P

Part of the reason I joined Nuffnang was to make a little extra dosh on the side. The other reason is because I personally revel in the positive spirit and community of blogging, and I feel that so far Nuffnang has been responsive to the same sentiments.

Last month, a couple of friends and I attended the Nuffnang Pirates outing. Turned out that out of the 250 Nuffnangers who attended, only 5 dressed as pirates. I have yet to get over the ‘betrayal’, though winning the Best Dressed Pirate contest did soften the grudge… ;)
