Nuffnang Featured Blogger for the month of February ‘08
Hi! I am Pinkpau, and I live for things like cheap thrills, big ideas, surprises and milo ais. At night, I prowl the streets in search of the perfect supper food.
I also occasionally like to dangle dangerously off ladders in bookstores.
I blog at Quaintly.net. This is my 7th year blogging and yes, my blog has always been that pink. Why pink? Why Pinkpau? Why the word ‘quaintly’ and why is it so hard to spell? These are all questions that will reveal themselves as you live your life peacefully and in harmony with nature.
But the most important question is – why blog? Aiyah where do I start! I blog because I have things to say and I want everyone to read it. I blog because I would probably die if I couldn’t write. I blog because I like how I can interact with people all over the world through my humble Malaysian-made blog. And I blog because I believe the world is made richer by the sharing of different experiences and lives… which we can all be a part of by a few simple clicks and keystrokes.
The other day I met someone who said blogging is either a narcissist’s hobby or a complainer’s playground. It’s not true. Both the function and impact of blogs are revolutionary – they are fast taking traditional media and our technophile world by storm. Blogging is booming and will probably continue to boom even further in the future, and guess what! You and I are already here =) And we will be narcissistic and complain while we’re at it!!!
I love Nuffnang because it’s an entire community dedicated to the love of blogging. Through Nuffnang, I’ve met lots of wonderful people who to this day are very good friends of mine. Not to mention all the opportunities and crazy fun that have come my way since joining. And all the chili pan mee that I got to eat (thank you boss!!!) when I was interning there last year. Heehee. Chili pan mee rocks.
Thank you Nuffnang for making me February’s featured blogger! And also, Happy 1st Birthday Nuffnang =) May you continue to grow and prosper and contribute to the chili pan mee industry of Malaysia.
