Nuffnang Featured Blogger for the month of February

Hi. I am Cherlin Tan, or better known as Tzia. Well, ignore the T, my name is pronounced as zia, or the Mandarin phonetics equivalent, Jia. I have such a unique name that teachers/lecturers always fail to pronounce my name properly. There was once I was caught walking in late for class; my teacher was like, ‘ apa nama ni? Nama Russian ke?’ lol. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg regarding my name.

I am a 17 year old girl who just can’t wait to turn 18 – don’t we all wanna turn legal? .

Blogger event at Mist Club, Bangsar. – with Jiashin.

That was the 1st ever blogger event that I had attended.
There, I met the Nuffnang team members – and I had a great time speaking to them. The next day I was told that I was made the featured blogger of February. Like WTFOMG, it’s so super unexpected! I’m an ordinary girl-next-door, or at least I think so… I mean, I’ve got no super interesting life, and I’m just an ordinary college student! And to tell the truth I seriously cannot figure out why I was chosen to be the featured blogger, but I’m happy all the same.

Thanks again to Nuffnang for making me the featured blogger of February, it made my week!

Classmates. – the posers

Well, I am an undergrad student, currently doing my foundation studies. I like to think that I’m a person with a unique personality who blogs about my daily life, my super random thoughts, my very own perspective towards life and interesting things that happened around me in a very candid way.

What caused me to start blogging? Peers’ influence, I would say. I first blog for the sake of it being fun since everyone is blogging; yet slowly, I got addicted. I enjoy expressing myself with words, and sharing my thoughts; at the same time getting opinions and comments from readers.

I have a curfew, and am not allowed to hang out late. People might think that a person like me has got a very interesting night life, but that’s very far from the truth. Lol. My curfew is at 11 – normally I get home before then. Dull life, you might think. But no, I don’t think so… I love sports and outdoor activities.

I swim, I jungle trek, I go for marathons… Yeahhh, I know. You most probably are staring at the monitor screen with your eyes and your mouth wide open with disbelief. How hard is it to believe that a person like me actually goes for outdoor activities? Let me tell you something even more shocking – I was a Scout in secondary school and I was an active board member, and, I was the representative swimmer in my school. This is the time where you go WHOA, GOT OR NOT?!! like everyone does. Lol.

I am certified romantic, and am exceptionally dreamy and bubbly. Some people call it unrealistic. Guess it’s still ok for me to be so, because my friends say I am still a 17 year old young girl – in other words, young enough to be naïve and to be forgiven. Wtf.

Chocolate is definitely my one true love. I must have something to do with chocolates every day, it’s like an addiction. I can barely survive without chocolate. Though I must say, eating chocolates all the time has its downsides. But do you know that chocolates can prevent cavity? And chocolate stimulates the brain! It also explains the fats and my never-ending diet plan. Lol.

Besides chocolates, I fancy photography. Well, photo-shooting, or having my photo taken, to be exact. The awesome skills of the photographer somehow boost my confidence every time. Maybe because I look thinner in certain angles it’s caught better in photographs, but I dunno la, I just like looking at my own pictures. Hee.

I love love love camwhoring! I can camwhore anywhere and anytime with any pose; camwhore in classes, camwhore when I’m crying, camwhore when I’m in the car, etc. I’m a girl, a girl who loves to camwhore, ‘nuff said. Give me camera and I camwhore!

The mirror – a girl’s best friend. I camwhore in front of the mirror a lot, like DUHHH. Every time I see a mirror I must camwhore, it’s an obsessive compulsive thing… to camwhore.

People that I treasure and love the most – my family and friends – that had never failed to be there whenever needed. I love them… (:
