Terms and Conditions

1.Eligibility and Contest Period

  • Standout – With Tiger & Nuffnang Pre Party Contest (“Contest”) starts at 10 a.m. on 11th May 2009 and runs till 12 midnight on 2nd June 2009 (“Contest Period”).
  • The Contest is open to all non-Muslim Malaysians above the age of 18 only.
  • The Contest will be closed at 12 midnight on 2nd June 2009 or such other time that Nuffnang Sdn Bhd & Guinness Anchor Berhad shall decide from time to time [delete cos already got at the end]. Entries received after the stipulated time will be ineligible for the prize draw.
  • Employees of Nuffnang Sdn Bhd, Guinness Anchor Berhad and its subsidiaries and affiliates, sponsors, agencies, dealers, retailers and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this Contest.
  • The Contestants shall be permitted to participate in the Contest via the use of their registered blogs in Nuffnang community only.

2. The Contest Eligibility

  • Contestants are required to be registered as Nuffnang bloggers (non-Nuffnang bloggers to register to be eligible for Contest).

3. Selection of Winners

  • Contest winners will be chosen based on the creativity of their blog posts. Priority will be given to Nuffnang Glitterati bloggers.

4. Judging

  • The pre-event contest will be judged by representative(s) from Guinness Anchor Berhad with assistance from representative(s) of Nuffnang Sdn Bhd.
  • The Judge’s decision is final and binding. No correspondence shall be entertained.

5. Notification of Contest Winners

  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad reserve the right to use any other method or medium that is deemed fit at its sole and absolute discretion for the purpose of announcing the Contest winners.
  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad reserve the right to appoint a third party to conduct the verification of Contest winners and to fulfill the delivery of prizes and Contestants agree that Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad may provide all necessary information of Contest winners to such third party to facilitate such service.

6. Contest Prizes

  • First 100 bloggers who write in for the contest will win themselves a pair of invites to the Standout – With Tiger & Nuffnang Party.
  • 25 most creative entries will be listed as Tiger Top 25 Standout Blogger and will be given a space in the microsite at www.nuffnang.com.my/standout which will display their handprint and link to their respective blog URLs.
  • From the 25 most creative entries, the best creative entry will win a HP Notebook worth RM2,399.
  • From the 25 most creative entries, the most eccentric entry will win a mystery prize that will be disclosed during the party.
  • 5 Nintendo DS Lite worth RM600 each will also be given out randomly to 5 bloggers whose blog posts were embedded with the Standout image.
  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad reserve the right to change the prizes without any prior notification.
  • All taxes, insurance, transfers, spending money and other expenses as the case may be, unless specifically stated, are the sole responsibility of the Contest winner.
  • Each Contest winner shall be entitled to one (1) prize only.
  • Prizes not claimed during the party shall be collected from the Nuffnang KL Office within one month upon email notification from Nuffnang Sdn Bhd shall be forfeited. Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable in any other form for whatever reason. Contest winners are solely responsible for the collection of their prize, Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad have no liability to the Contest winners in any respect whatsoever.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd reserves the right to request written proof of residency and age of any Contest winner before the prize is collected.
  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd makes no warranties or representations whatsoever with respect to the prize and shall not be responsible nor liable for any problems and/or damage thereto or arising therefrom.
  • Prizes must be claimed in person unless Nuffnang Sdn Bhd advises otherwise. Identification which includes a photograph will be required (examples include identification card/drivers license/passport which displays a photograph of the Contest winner).
  • In special situations, and subject to the absolute discretion of Nuffnang Sdn Bhd, a Contest winner may nominate a designated representative to collect a prize. The representative will be required to present written authorization from the Contest winner and identification which includes a photograph for both the Contest winner and their representative.
  • In the event that a Contest winner chooses not to accept a prize within one (1) months from the announcement date of the winner upon the sending out of the email notification, the winner shall forfeit any and all claims to that prize, which will be dealt with according to the absolute discretion of Nuffnang Sdn Bhd & Guinness Anchor Berhad.
  • The Contest winner(s) of any prize(s) may at the absolute discretion of Nuffnang Sdn Bhd be required to execute a deed of release and indemnity in a form prescribed by Nuffnang Sdn Bhd in order to receive the prize.
  • All prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the Contest winner, and Nuffnang Sdn Bhd excludes all warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law. Contest winners shall comply with the terms and conditions of each prize.

7. Prize Giving Ceremony

  • All prizes for pre event contests will be given out during Standout – With Tiger & Nuffnang Party. Contest winner(s) are required to attend at his/her own cost and expense to collect the prize. In the event the Contest winner is not able to attend the prize giving ceremony, the Contest winner must nominate a representative to be present at the prize giving ceremony to accept the prize on his/her behalf.

8. Publicity

  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to use the nicknames, names, photographs, voice or video recordings and entries of the Contest winner(s) and/or representatives without first obtaining any consent nor making any payment whatsoever to the Contest winner(s) and/or representatives for publicity, advertising, trade or promotion purposes in any media.

9. Variation to the Terms & Conditions

  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad reserve the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Contest Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time and the Contestants shall be bound to such changes.

10. Liability

  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad will not be responsible or liable for:
  • Any problem, loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by any party due to any delay and/or failure in receiving and sending the entry form as a result of any network, communication or system error, interruption and/or failure experience by the participating internet line and/or resulting from participation or the downloading of any materials in the Contest. In the event of such error, interruption and or failure, Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any Contestant to participate in the Contest at any time.
  • Any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any Contestant, or their authorized representatives resulting from their participation in the Contest.
  • Any error (including error in notification of Contest winners), omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, internet line failure, theft, destruction of, or unauthorized access to entries, PC hang whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.

11. Disqualification

  • Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad reserve the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that it determines to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in breach or potential breach of these Contest Terms and Conditions and/or the Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad Website Use and Access Agreement. No correspondence shall be entertained. Nuffnang Sdn Bhd and Guinness Anchor Berhad further reserve the right to cancel, modify suspend or delay the Contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
